The IGDA Foundation advances careers, builds community, and partners with studios, organizations, and educators to open doors for underrepresented talent across the globe.
When we first partnered with IGDA Foundation, their website no longer matched their vibrant energy or growing community. While their voice had evolved through recent partnerships and compelling pitch decks, their digital presence hadn't kept pace. We recognized this wasn't just a redesign opportunity - it was a chance to rebuild their digital identity from the ground up: structurally, visually, and narratively.
Our strategy zeroed in on two core objectives: visually embody the raw creativity of indie game culture, while engineering a platform flexible enough to evolve alongside the Foundation.
Behind the scenes, we transformed years of fragmented content into a living archive - centralizing grant winners and program alumni data into an easily updatable system. As new leadership came aboard, we became digital archaeologists: recovering lost assets, restoring historical footage, and even unearthing news segments that became dynamic hero videos - letting the Foundation's impact speak for itself through powerful visuals.
The result? 👏 A digital platform that pulses with indie gaming's inventive spirit, empowers their fast-moving team, and adapts seamlessly as the Foundation continues redefining how underserved talent connects with opportunity.
Post-Relaunch Impact
In the months following launch, the IGDA Foundation saw a 231% surge in site traffic — proof this wasn’t just a visual refresh, but a strategic transformation. The platform became more discoverable, more engaging, and most importantly, more authentically theirs.
Yet metrics only tell half the story. What began as a website evolved into something deeper: a trusted hub for outreach and a true partnership. We’ve become an extension of their team — not just maintaining the site, but co-creating content, refining messaging, and proactively identifying opportunities to amplify their impact. (When we spot room for improvement, we flag it and then roll up our sleeves to help solve it.)
The validation came organically. At industry events, Foundation staff now regularly hear one recurring question: “Who built your site? It’s incredible.” That recognition matters.
